i have been thinking about this for a while. in october 2014 i was in nicosia where i took this photograph of a woman on the threshold of a workshop. in 2015 i spent several months working and living in nicosia which i have written about in previous posts. i bought the striped dressed for 1 euro from a charity shop. looking back at the photographs from the previous october i realised it could be the same dress that the woman is wearing. it is hand sewn, and i wonder then; if she made it, and why she stopped wearing it......
